If you’re part of a thriving WordPress community and dream of putting your city on the global tech map, here’s your chance! WordCamp Asia, one of the flagship events for WordPress enthusiasts, is officially on the hunt for a host city for its 2026 edition. With previous events in vibrant cities like Bangkok (2023) and Taipei (2024), and Manila gearing up for 2025, the stage is set for another show-stopping event.

What is WordCamp Asia?
WordCamp Asia is a premier gathering for the WordPress community, bringing together developers, designers, bloggers, and tech enthusiasts from across the continent. It’s a hub for learning, networking, and celebrating the platform that powers over 40% of the web.

Is Your City Ready to Host?
WordCamp Asia 2026 could be in your city if your local WordPress community checks these boxes:
Active Community Engagement: Regularly hosting WordCamps, Meetups, or similar events.
Proven Track Record: Successfully organizing at least one WordCamp in the past four years.
Team Commitment: A dedicated team of at least eight active organizers ready to roll up their sleeves.
Venue Capacity: A venue that can host 1,500 attendees, with ample space for workshops, multiple tracks, and other event needs.

Applications close on December 31, 2024, so there’s no time to waste!

How Does the Process Work?
Applications will be reviewed by the global organizing team, who will select the city that best meets the criteria. The big reveal? It’ll happen during the closing remarks of WordCamp Asia 2025 in Manila.

The Journey to Hosting
Organizing a flagship event like WordCamp Asia is no small feat, but you won’t be alone. A global team of seasoned organizers from across Asia will work closely with your local team for over eight months to make sure the event is nothing short of spectacular.
