If you’ve been nervously scrolling through TikTok wondering whether your favorite app might suddenly disappear—again—here’s the latest update: former President Donald Trump says he’s open to pushing back the ban yet again.

In an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press, Trump said that if TikTok doesn’t close a deal to sell its U.S. operations by the June 19 deadline, he’s willing to give the company more time. This would be the third delay so far.

“Perhaps I shouldn’t say this, but I have a little warm spot in my heart for TikTok,” Trump admitted during the interview.

So, What’s This All About?
Let’s rewind a bit. TikTok is owned by ByteDance, a Chinese tech company. U.S. lawmakers have long raised concerns that TikTok could pose national security risks—like the possibility that user data could be accessed by the Chinese government.

Last year, Congress passed a law that would ban TikTok in the U.S. unless ByteDance sold the app to American owners. The idea was: if TikTok wants to stay in the U.S., it needs to be American-run.

The ban technically kicked in this January, but instead of pulling the plug, Trump gave TikTok a 90-day extension—hoping the company could work out a deal with a U.S.-based buyer.

When that deadline came and went in April, he granted them another 75 days, citing ongoing tensions with China, especially over trade issues.

What Happens Next?
Right now, the next big date is June 19. If no sale goes through by then, the ban could take effect—but Trump says he’s likely to give another extension, depending on how talks are going.

The Chinese government still needs to approve any deal, which adds another layer of drama to this TikTok saga.

TL;DR: Can You Keep Watching TikTok?
For now, yes! TikTok is still up and running, and it looks like it will stay that way—at least in the near future. While legal and political debates continue behind the scenes, you can keep scrolling, liking, and creating.

Stay tuned, though. This story is far from over—and your For You Page might one day have to move to a new home if a deal doesn’t get made.
